Termite Inspection

Termite InspectionThe Importance of a Termite Inspection

Did you know that termites might be the single biggest source of damage to wood in a home? It has been estimated that termites have caused 5 billion dollars in property damage annually. A home with a termite infestation can unknowingly destroy the structure by completing eating away at the wood components.

Most often, before purchasing any property, an inspection must be done to determine whether or not the structure has been damaged by a Wood Destroying Insect. This report, referred to as a WDI report will detect the most common insects that wreak havoc on wood structures. These insects include Powderpost Beetles, Carpenter Ants and Bees, and Subterranean Termites. These termites are, of course, the most dangerous to the structure.

Before purchasing a home, or simply for peace of mind in your current home, have Enginspect perform a WDI Inspection. Preventative inspections are key to keeping a potentially costly issue at bay.
